Welcome to 25poemsamonth, the community where a 25 prompt table is posted at the beginning of every month and then, members have until the beginning of the next to fill as many prompts as possible.

Prompts are generally fragments, sentences, verses and words by other poets (published), each month has its own theme. For May, we are working with Emily Dickinson.

There are not a lot of rules here, we keep it low-pressure. Please post your poetry in your own journal and only share the prompt table with links to your filled prompts in the monthly report post. It goes up at the end of every active month.

To comment in the report post, you don't have to have filled all 25 prompts of the month, it's more to show off what we've worked on throughout the month. The report thread for the current month (MAY) can be found here.

Poetry should be your own, don't plagiarize! Also, we don't accept AI-made writing here.

Poetry has to be two lines at the least (couplet) and there is no max length. All forms of poetry are welcome, from haiku to verse novels.

Please try to comment around on other people's work, even just an "I liked this" goes a long way.
